Long weekends are the best!

What a fun visit!

Ty Burns and his husband, Michael Calderon came to stay with us for four days. 

We started off with dinner and cocktails at the house.  I made a big batch of Spaghetti along with an enourmous salad.  We all really relaxed and had a great evening.  The next day they came with me to the Mesa Market Place.  While I worked in the Angel Store, they shopped.  Dad was a real trooper but all the walking really wore him out.   Later that night, we all went to dinner at "Abuelos".  We had a wonderful time!!

 Ty and I have not seen each other four about 15 years... so it was so great getting caught up.  It was so much fun!  It was like old times... lots of good laughs and plenty of stories!

Abuelos had always been a beautiful setting for a great meal. I love the art work through out.

On Monday, the guys and I went on our own to Cave Creek.  I suggested Tonto Bar and Grill for lunch first before doing our shopping... what a great place!! We all three loved everything about it!  The restaurant is in the entry of a spa and golf resort and is absolutly breathtaking!

After a wonderful meal and a few photo ops... we went into town and did some shopping...a lot of shopping.... then on back to the house for cocktails and dinner.  Dad made steaks on the grill and baked potatoes along with corn on the cob... and cheesecake for desert!   The next morning Ty and Mike had to fly back to Houston but promised a return visit very soon.
